I have updated the blog with pictures showing the finished crossing signals and application of trees. The crossing signals were 'fixed' to resemble the Australian prototype.

Ah! That looks much better - not that they weren't an impressive achievement before.

I notice you mention doing the "Railway" and "Crossing" signs that appear on either side of the road. It might be worth pointing out to you that these only appeared in Victoria toward the end of the 80s. Wink

Well since thats not the era im modelling I better leave them out (*sighs with relief!!).
I still have to do the other crossing. It will likely be the sign without lights but with the little triangle.

I might play around with a little modern railway crossing module for the Sandown Exhibition. I have 3 straight section of tracks. I want one to be a trestle bridge, one will be a road crossing, any suggestions for the third?

I started the trestle bridge module. Got as far as making the trestles and the landscape. It was all ready for scenics but silly me left them at home and they went up with the house!!! Sad I lost the 2 sections of track as well!!! Mad

I still have one section of straight track and the beginning of the crossing module. Something's better than nothing I guess..........still annoyed. I got pics of the bridge module tho, so there is evidence!!!!
