I've been thinking over the past couple of days as Gonou gets to that stage where it will start to look like a layout as more scenery goes down.
For a change of pace, I fancy having a go at a US outline structure. I'm not going for anything huge like an ore dock or a grain elevator (though I did give it some thought.. Wink )
In an issue of "How to build realistic layouts" by Kalmbach there are some pictures of a cylindrical coal tower in Medina NY that is decidedly unusual and would make an interesing structure and would stand about 1 3/4" tall. Its the kind of thing that appeals to me so I'll have a go.
Don't know quite what I'll do with it when I've finished though... Laughing

sounds good Ian, how obout a US layout then? start a collection of structures & diaramas ect. then follow through with rolling stock down the track.

hmmm, David... kick!! kick!!! kick!!!!!!! the RDC's, switch, girder bridge. im eager to see. Wink
