Direct flash is often a killer of model photos. But I think I can see what you've done. Sometimes aerial photos of forests can actually look similar, that is, the tops of the trees can blend into one. I guess that's why it's referred to as the forest canopy. Wink

Well the T gauge interest is rising here in Minnesota.
Last night I had an email from the organisers of the St Cloud train show, where I will be exhibiting "Hitsu" in about 10 days wanting more info and pictures as he's making some apperances on local radio and wants to plug the appearance of T gauge...
No pressure on me there then...

Ian

Got to admit it.
I'm getting decidedly nervous about exhibiting "Hitsu" and my T gauge demonstration/infomation stand at the St. Cloud, MN show on Saturday.
I even ordered myself another 4 car set "just in case".
One concern I've just thought of would be all the extra dirt and dust and rubbish that would be circulating in an exhibition hall. That might play havoc with the running
Plenty of other things to worry about as well
Ian

Good morning Ian.

Do your best.
It might be good for you to maintain the surface of the rail frequently.

I wanted also to go to the show of St. Cloud on the 13th, and to see genuine "Hitsu". However, I cannot go because there is a conference on business since the afternoon on the day.

It is not a problem though... it is only a little far. Wink

Ian, good to hear the train show went good. I saw the link on your blog to the seaside pictures and that would be a beautiful layout! The raft on the rock would be a neat little miniscene too Very Happy. The current version of Hitsu looks beautiful, can't wait to see the next incarnation.

Ian, I know I am late in posting my compliments on your layout, but now I have done so Very Happy . It's amazing how good even a layout with a simple track plan such as yours can look when done right, and yours definitely is!

Thanks Dominik:
I learned a lot from building just a simple trackplan. I'm ready to move on to something a little better

Whilst downloading some pictures from Christmas off my wifes camera I came across this pictures from the St Cloud trainshow.

The balding guy with the glasses is me.
The layout, despite having over 100 trees on it looks bare. That's one of the main reasons that I dismantled it. I would have still needed another 100 of the blasted things.
Lesson learned. I think I should have enough trees for the new layout.

I've loved watching Hitsu and reading the blog. I htink you're brave dismantling it but I understand why.

The seaside photos are very inspirational, almost tempting me to have a go at an Enoden layout - my own pictures are here (but the page is written from the POV of a pink fluffy elephant: blame Steve Bennett from the Gn15 list), despite the fact that my wife is building a 1:32 narrow gauge layout in the same vein.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you approach this one.

regards
Andy A
