Gday Roger!!
Paul and I will be at Sandown, I am not sure if Darren is going. I will have my briefcase layout and maybe some of my N scale stuff if there is room. Paul will have most of his N scale collection there. We are also modelling with Phil Badger.
I have the entire range of HO LJModels card kits and as many N scale ones I can find. I have built a few of these before thinking of photocopying them. I have quite a few left that I havent built. I have the Pub kit and will try and resize it to suit the smaller scale. I scan them in and use Photoshop CS2 to resize them.
Joe from our local model railway club has already made a station and good shed from styrene. I didnt have my camera when he showed me but I will certainly take some pics the next time I see them.

Welcome Roger. The way things are going here, we might soon be enough in number to justify our own forum.
Yes, I will also be at Sandown, hopefully with the full range of T gauge products - or at least those that are available. I'll be at Collingwood too, but just as a visitor. _________________ Darren,

Great news gents, I look forward to meeting both Adrian and Darren, I already know Paul and Phil the 'Badger' of course. I'm just listing our card building collection now, plus I have some others I printed off the net. This is added incentive to keep a closer eye on the card forums I 'lurk' on.

g'day roger, i recon t gauge will be making a strong presence at sandown, and could possibly have the biggest impact. i know that if i saw it there for the first time, it would be the the thing i would think about most when i got home!!!! i will have a small t gauge "starter" layout at my table, as many vic t gauge rolling stock as i can put together, and assembeling vic t gauge bodys there, that i have pre cut. along with all my vic n scale.
we will also be doing the same at morwell exhibition, queens birthday weekend. i wont be at hobsons bay this year, the car wins this year easternats!!!!!!, should be CrAzY with the new stroker getting built. i would like to get along for a few hours for a look though.
i havent yet attemted any buildings, but we have had a possible thought on creating clapboard (i assume thered be none available this fine?) a steel ruler with a jewlers file wiped accross a series of times on styreen, to imprint the profile of the saw teeth? saw must have teeth faceing forward as the is a few differnt profiles. anyway the possibilitys are endless! |

Well what is stopping you from making buildings using the same technique you use to make the locomotives and rollingstock?
Morwell is definantly a must!!!
Looking forward to meeting you to Roger. Definantly will be interesting to see the crowd response from the T Gauge. Will have Pauls, Darrens and my layout there.
Should be fun!!!

Indeed he does.
He also needs to check his PM inbox (if not done already) as I have some 'lost property' he may wish to claim. _________________ Darren,

ahh, yes! thanks man, i realised a few days ago, was going to call you. the layout im working on is only very small and basic, too. its a standard oval, with 2 extra staight track packs. but its the landscape shape that has the impact. and im loosley basing the bridge (very loosley) on nowa nowa boggy creek. very early stages now, only just has basic ground cover. it will end up a hevy timberd forrest. might do work on it now.. |

Boggy Creek bridge. That'd be the one I was riding across in 1993 (pictured below). The track was being torn up at the time.
I do have photos of it from the side (this shot hardly shows how impressive a structure it really is). But I need to scan them. I tried to find a photo of it online, but all I could find were photos of the better known (despite being harder to get to and well away from the highway) and considerably larger Stony Creek trestle, about 4-5kms away. _________________ Darren,

AWSOME!, about the same size as my trolley, but mine home meade and seats 4. hmmmmm...., the vic goverment just loves tearing up our most picturesque lines 7weeks left on great southern railway before it suffers the same fate. u must find time for some trips! anyway, wouldnt your trolley look SPANKIN in t gauge!!!!!!!!!! i could build it static, but thanks to t gauge, i can now sauce the parts for an operational n scale one. |

Unfortunately that trolley wasn't mine. It belonged to Rex C. It probably still does. As Rex still worked for the then State Transport Authority (V/Line) he was able to obtain permission to ride the line. He was still qualified on the trolley. You can see the shadow of Rex taking the photo.
I do have a similar trolley, actually a NSW one converted to broad gauge. It's a long shot, but I am going to see if I can get it up to working condition in the next few weeks. I'll get a quote. If not too expensive, and able to be repaired quickly, I'll get it done. But otherwise, yes, I shall try to be available one weekend soon to accompany you on a ride. Umm, wouldn't want you to get lonely or anything.
Hmmm! This isn't off topic at all, is it? Nah, I thought not either. _________________ Darren,
