How hard do you think it ould be to convert a 103 into one of these?

It is a NYC RDC3 (mail-baggage-coach combination) Budd car, with a a jet engine and a nose slapped on it. There are many more pictures here: http://jalopnik.com/359202/new-york-centrals-m+497-jet-powered-train

Someone in my club did one of these based on a Kato RDC in N. Someone has already done an etch for a shortened to fit RDC in T. You'd just need to make the nose and engines pod.

Yep, Mark Runyan. That article originally appeared in NSR.

Plus, Mike Skibbe who took one of the photos, is a T-Gauger. I talked to him at a train show this weekend where his club and mine had adjacent layouts. (Neither of us brought our T).

Sorry to veer off topic, but NSR is the acronym for what now? Also I read about a man who drove the engine, and had a MTH budd custom made like it... http://www.mth-railking.com/club/pdfs/winter03.pdf (page seven)
...man, where do I keep finding these things Question Exclamation Question Wink

Sorry. NSR = N Scale Railroading, Kirk Reddie's N scale magazine.

I just found the original link again for the N scale conversion on the Kato website, and it said right next to it:
