More wall section images

Line-art from the above website, in a PDF document. Problem is each wall module diagram here has a catalog number in it. Might be useful for planning?

For building ideas go to http://www.woodlandscenics.com/ (then to "Products", then "Buildings with DPM").

Don't look at the standard of the modelling (or even the photography), but...

I followed this linkfrom Ian's blog for Japanese card buildings at 1:450, and found just one house in six different colours. I figured that it would make a good start for my Nn18 diorama and then fiddled around cutting and pasting to have some buildings that look a bit like some from a village near Nikko that I photographed.

In order to prove to myself again that T scale really is too small and Nn18 was the right decision, I printed them out at 1:450 to check the assembly sequence. The first result in paper was truly awful, but that's not the point.

Having re-done them in card, they're better, but just blur your eyes and squint. If these shapes would be of use to anyone, perhaps to go with the house from the link, then I'll tart the artwork up (it's actually quite good, it's my ability to assemble them that sucks) and post a PDF. There is a fourth building, two story, ground floor and first floor flats, with a sloping roof covering stairs on one end, but that still defeated me completely. These three are appropriately tiny even in N, so will fit my tiny Nn18 diorama.

Which was the original intent. Smile

But waste not want not, the remaining building will work for my wife's project layout. four identical ones in 1:32 to represent the outskirts of town.

regards
Andy A

I printed all the Pokara buildings out a few days ago. I decided to laminate the printouts of the taller buildings, thinking the paper would be too flimsy on its own. Ahem! Well, not a complete success as obviously they don't fold so well now. Embarassed I might try scoring them next time. Very Happy

Anyway, I think I'll just use the first attempts as background flats or even low relief buildings - the taller office buildings that is. I hadn't tried any of the smaller buildings yet.

They have a glossy finish now too. My thought was I could use a clear satin of matt finish on them, leaving the windows glossy. I'll let you know if it works.
