I succumbed.
A pack of each is now on its way to me...
I'm so weak-willed....

Just by coincidence, the mailman arrived just a little while ago with a (relatively) big box containing three small packets. I opened one up right away and fired off a bunch of lousy macro shots. These things are scary small! I mean, their arms look like short, fine hairs. I don't even want to touch them (I already broke a horse's leg just by touching it).
In studying the macro shots, I think these things aren't painted by any conventional means. In fact, I think they are "printed" using an inkjet! Most of the figures clearly have dots, and the quality varies wildly from one figure to the next. Have a look:
They look substantially better to the naked eye than to an unforgiving macro lens, since the eye cannot make out the dots, and the colors blend to become more natural-looking. _________________ —David

So we'll have to learn to paint T scale figures now as well...

They look like they've been slimed!
Did you have to shoot the poor horse?
How would you like to paint these 1:500 scale figures?
