Seems funny that this does not appear to have come up before.

In the first pricelist I received from KK Eishindo, there were 5 versions of the 103 class EMU sets. Orange, blue, yellow-green, yellow and green.
The last few lists only show 4 colours, with the darker green having disappeared. There are also photos on their site that show a light green set with a yellow stripe on the ends. Not sure if this is the "yellow-green" set or if it refers to the lighter (yellower) green shade.

Hobby Search lists 9 different sets. Interesting that they don't all appear on the price lists.

The very same thing passed through my mind as I was doing the makeover for the website. I had all the artwork and specs for nine trains. But then I received the pricelist, and had to start over, assuming the pricelist was the product bible. I originally had all nine listed separately on the product page, but when I found the discrepancy, I rolled them all into one, and then split them off on the detail page, making it easier to adjust things as needed.

I'm pretty sure their references to "yellow-green" mean the lighter green, and not the lighter green with yellow stripe.

Is this anything to do with East and West routes in Japan?

The way I understand it, they had two versions of each the orange, canary, sky-blue, and yellow-green, one for each the East & West Japan Railway Companies, as well as an emerald-green for the east. So, the 103s should be...

West: Osaka Loop Line (orange), Fukuchiyama Line (canary yellow), Hanwa Line (sky-blue), Kansai Line (yellow-green{light green})
East: Chuo Line (orange), Sobu Line (canary yellow), Keihintouhoku Line (sky-blue), Yamanote Line (yellow-green{light green}), Jyoban and Narita Line (emerald-green{teal})

...right? Not only are they listed on the website, they are also the nine for sale at Hobby Serch.

If I'm wrong, please correct me,

The nine are listed on Eishindo's website. This is true. And the catalog numbers appear on the Japanese part of the site as well (I just noticed). But not the English version. The odd part is that these others do not appear on the price list given to retailers to order from.

A customer has asked me for the green one with the yellow stripe. But I'm not sure which one it is. As I'm putting an order together (working out what I can afford to spend Wink ) I might have to ask them what the situation is.

I see now! The stripe is only on the ends! I've been searching over the Internet for a set with a yellow stripe down the side... Rolling Eyes
It's a little different. I might have to have one...
