Hey all, still have to order my T Gauge equipment, but that hasn't stopped me from thinking of layout plans. That said, I present to you "Pond Mills". Based on an actual location on the London & Port Stanley Railway, the layout is simple, scenic and local.
Rolling stock will be modified from existing T gauge stock and consist of L&PS motor car No. 8, trailer No 3, Express Motor No. E1 and one of the L&PS's express baggage cars (a 40' boxcar), either B1 or B2.
This is subject to change, but currently this is my plan.
Now to just get the equipment _________________ Regards,

Updated so you can actually see the plan... Nothing impressive, but it's a start. _________________ Regards,

Well, what is impressive is the staging yard ("traverser"). That will be very interesting to see! _________________ —David

Those are by William Campbell and are for Microsoft Train Simulator. I don't have it, but really want to get it, if only for this route. _________________ Regards,

I've been thinking about the design, and I may actually design it in 4 pieces (front scene, end curves and traverser) in order to build more scenes along the line. I'd like to include more scenes along the line and possibly the line's shops as well.
Pond mills is the first step in this grander scheme.
I'm also going to build motor car #12 (and possibly 14 as a dummy) instead of #8, as #12 was 71 feet long, which is about the length of an unmodded T gauge chassis. The express motor will also be built on a shortened chassis however. _________________ Regards,
