Anybody working on or considering this?

Most existing Z decoders seem at least a little too large. However, TCS has announced a new decoder that will be 6.35mm (1/4") across. This ought to be able to fit if angled. Anything else out there that might fit?

It would seem that DCC could offer the same advantages that it does in other small scales -- higher constant voltage to the track giving better contact than a low variable voltage. Also, discussion seems to be that PWM gives improved control.

My main concern would be that the inconsistent electrical pickup would lead to very 'stubborn' engines that may not always want to listen to the "STOP!" command that you wish to request of them.

And then there's the size concerns... though the laws state that everything will just get smaller Wink
