Faced with having to produce loads more trees for Hitsu I had to find a quicker easier method for forests. Here is the results of a first experiment.
Quite simply they are shaped woodland scenics clump foliage stuck on to toothpicks.
Here's a couple of single trees
Not too exciting when viewed individually but when you group 20 of them together things improve. They create the right sort of effect
With a few of the more detailed trees placed in front I should be able to have a quite convincing forest quite easily

Man I guess when each tree can be modeled this way there is no excuse to not model every single one. |

Thanks for the comments.
Some things in T gauge are easy - like making trees.
Other things like rejigging gearing scare me to death.
