After such a wonderfull 3 days at the exhibition, victorian t gauge arroused a lot of attention from potential modelers. already there has been quite a few requests for the derm T class & pass cars, even in their current form, but some exciting developments are in the pipeline and two producers of mostly n scale have expressed interest in casting bodys for me!
I will begin 2 masters very soon, starting with a DERM & C van as a kit. the DERM master will be overlayed on the sanded down 103 body, same as the one i built from sign film, the small C van (red gaurds van with center capola & brown roof) master will be completely scratch built, same method as my original AE pass car.
Both bodys will be one peice, in grey resin with the c van only needing the trucks screwed to the holes in base of body. some lead shot will also be cast into the C van for weight. simple instructions on how to change the 103 body over to the DERM will be included along with painting brown of the roof & a one peice waterslide decal featuring the whole car sides & ends completed with color, pinlines, logos ect. the windows will be black. the decal will conform to the detail with decalset before matt coating.
If the innitial master & decals are successful, a T class, E pass cars & more vic stock will folow, & will venture into NSW & other Australian stock.
I am SUPER excited about this & HOPE everything goes to plan, as they are keen to start casting trials soon. |

Sounds awesome!
I'll be interested to follow the development of this line.
I may even have to have a DERM myself...
Now after all this excitement I need to go assemble my T scale petrol pumps to get a grasp on reality

Excellent news! Let me know when you get around to making a Tin Hare or a Garrett
Seriously though, this looks like a big step forward for T and you and everyone else involved is to be congratulated. _________________ Gary

Hello 'oztman',
I'm with you re a CPH, but how small will it be? An N scale one is much shorter than a DERM. I'm a Railmotor/Railcar fan so a CPH, a SA Bluebird and a Tassie 'Sentinel' would be awesome.
Those of us here in OZ who can sratchbuild may like to contribute some masters for casting, what do you think?

sounds good Roger!, i would also think a CPH would more than likely fit the shorter 9000 mec, with the extra reduction gear. a lot to look forward to! |
