Has anyone thought about using these as quick way to making new wagons and trains?

They are way too big, unfortunately.

You'd be better off using architectural models, or Herpa's 1:500 ICE train.

My parents have my old collection. Ill have to dig it up and see if there is anything suitable. Perhaps the speed boats or planes? Or I just wait for Eishindo to come out with something COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!!

Eishindo is coming out with completely awesone stuff. They already have two sets of boats now, and they are very close to releasing vehicles. There are ships available in 1:450 (kits from HASEGAWA and such). You just need to go hunting. I have some stuff listed here for starters:
