18/1/2008:
Eishindo announces a garden railway package on their Japanese website, which will be released early spring 2009!
The package will include:
-Loop of rail with controller
-Rolling stock (1 locomotive and 2 cars with benches)
-Scenery items (fences, tunnel, tree, some kind of picknick bench and a tent)
-Several 1/32 people, including passengers for the train.
The sale price of the set is still unknown.
I'm not a big fan of garden railroads, but I think this could be a good way for Eishindo to reach a bigger public.
The pictures don't show the locomotive, but if it's the same one Eishindo showed in earlier pictures, it can definately be used in T scale! The cars look like they could serve a a base for kitbashing!
(picture posted earlier:)
By the way, the diesel locomotive seems to be inspired by the Japanese DE10 class. _________________ Some thoughts on T |

So, this is how we get the first RTR T-gauge locomotive. I suspect it will be available either separately or with a 1:450 scale train as soon as suitable rolling stock is available. And when that happens, will motorised cars be required???
I have an interest in miniature railways myself. Have never been to Japan, but I saw some 5" gauge models in Taiwan in August. As much of Taiwan's railways were originally Japanese, it's no surprise that this influences models too. The style of riding car with the handles on the seats is similar to what I saw in Taiwan.
Anyway, I might have to build a small 1:32 scale diorama now. I already have a 1:48 scale miniature railway

Being a member of the club Darren (B67) is I too have an interest in miniture railways. I think Eishindo is making a very clever move by targeting other scales as well. I would be interested in purchasing one of these sets. I dont know where it would fit into my existing projects but i dont care.....I WANT ONE!!! _________________ Victorian T Gauge Blog

Australia better order a few of these, because I want to get one too.
Been keen on wanting to own a miniature railway themed train set.
Since I am a member of a real one.
I hope Eishindo plans to expand this scale.
Because it be a shame if it's just a 'one-off' Product. |

Pity there aren't many 1:32 scale model railways in Oz. It might adapt to 1:48 with a change of figures. I expect to see one of these sets on the weekend and should have more info then.
Yes, I shall be ordering them. I intend to stock the entire range. _________________ Darren,

INTERESTING! I am thinking of a "miniature railway" concept using OO-9 locos to model 9 inch gauge in 1:24 scale so the Eishindo set would be a good addition to my collection to get something running quickly (even if it is a different scale). _________________ Regards,

Are there any close-up photos of the loco and riding car to post? _________________ Brian Austin |

Unfortunately, I don't have any. I have no excuses apart from the fact that the one that operated so well on my counter for about half an hour was not fully set up. Also the mechanism was running without the body. So I just didn't take any photos - sorry. It did run briefly with the body on and passengers for an even shorter time. I guess I was too mesmorised to get the camera out at that time. _________________ Darren,
