With that original tunnel mouth in place. It also means that I have created (to the best of my knowledge) the first, and at a scale length of 105 meters longest tunnel in T gauge model railroading

Not the first tunnel, but definitely much longer than mine.
I do think the modification is an improvement. The hill did look rather symmetrical before. The top still looks a little flat, but even without further modification, that shouldn't be as obvious once covered with greenery. _________________ Darren,

Ah Darren:
I forgot about your tunnel.
The hill is a bit flat topped. But I'm working on that too.

My tunnel is double track. Perhaps yours is the first single track one in T. But we don't know that of course. Just as I have no idea if mine was the first tunnel or double track tunnel in T. I can safely say it was the first in Australia - although even that is not guaranteed. _________________ Darren,

Well, I did say "perhaps". Had a feeling there was another around.
Yeah, that is showing off - and with a bridge plus "that" switch too.
Of course, we don't know how many layouts in Japan already had tunnels before those of us here did them. In any case, mine's still the only double-track one I know of. But I'll readily confess there'd be a lot I don't know. _________________ Darren,

Undeterred by David's claim for the longest T gauge tunnel I can report that mine has a mouth now...
This morning I decided to "kill" the whiteness of the spackle and paint on some Woodland scenics earth colour. Impressed with the way things were looking I placed the station and tunnel mouth in situ to get even more of a feel for the way things will look and I like it. I'm going to start working a rock face above the tunnel mouth next

Thanks chaps. Glad you like it.
Just the one layout. I salvaged the track from the first one for this one.

Spurred on by layout building elsewhere on this forum. I set to and started to add ground cover to Gonou.
Things were going well until I ran out of Hob-e-tac.
So I popped some track, the plarform and tunnel mouth in to give you a feel for the way its looking
I'm pretty happy...
