Just out of curiosity.
Has anyone tried laying the setrack curves as a helix to gain some extra height?
Might be difficult to acess the track to clean it though.

Funnily enough I was considering that only yesterday, but decided I'm not going to plot my layout until the flexgtrack is on the scene. |

Actually, unless one needs to build a helix of a specific size, it's a lot easier to make helixes using sectional track than flex track, based on my experiences in Z scale--and I tend to think the problems would be worse in a smaller scale. _________________ —David

That's a great idea; a little El, if you will. I am currently infatuated with T-gauge (and thus ordering everything I find with abandon) so I'll look into get some more turning track.
If I could just duplicate one of those fantastic switches I saw on someone's blog I'd be complete |

Oh, I didn't mean that I would build a helix from flexitrack, just that I'm holding off planning a layout shape until it is available and I can see it's properties. |
