I learned from Plaza Japan that the manufacturer is out of stock for vehicles. Has anyone tried their hand at making vehicles? I did see the post with the little Mercury.
Although an amateur, I may try filing some vehicles out of styrene or other suitable material. All I can do until the manufacturer gets busy! |

T-Gaugers,
"Out of Stock", that's a good sign for such a new product. That tells me the world wide demand for Eishindo's T-gauge train line will stimulate further development of this scale, like turnouts, flex-track, and more locos and rolling stock.

Should we drop a hint to this company to consider a line of T scale vehicles?

Their products are produced with rapid-prototyping technology.
Resolution may be a little coarse though. You can see some rough spots on their N and Z models already _________________ Brian Austin |

Interesting. I never saw them in stock! They must have sold out before they hit the shelves.

Much as I like the idea of having RP vehicles, MMM would not be a good option for T scale. Their products are coarse in Z scale; they'd be awful in T. Not to mention they're a serious PITA to paint.
A better option is Herpa Wings 1:500 vehicles. Only slightly small for T, but much better finish, particularly their "classic" auto collection.

Thank you for the Herpa link. I saw two airport accessory sets that had several vehicles in them. Now to track down the best way to get them!
Note: Just ordered the most vehicle laden pack from airline museum.com; hope this turns out well |

I received my Herpa vehicles today (shipping was way over-priced). Anyhow, the vehicles are of good quality and better looking than I could have imagines.
They do look too small next to my Type 103, and obviously they are. However, you takes what you can get for now.
Here's hoping Eishindo makes lots of vehicles and motorbikes next year. |

Yes, and when Eishindo does, we can relegate the Herpa vehicles to the background--perfect for forced-perspective! _________________ —David

The Postman just dropped my Herpa Catering trucks. Although still a bit small, they will take the roll of panel vans when I modify the lift. They are more pleasing to the eye.
High quality just like the cars, and you can ready the tiny logos and such easily because it is so sharp. I am pleased with these. |

Howard Architectural model supply offers vehicles down to below 1/40" scale which works out to about 1:480 scale. They offer a variety of cast pewter vehicles.

I've had some of these. Unfortunately they're little more than blobs of metal only vaguely shaped like vehicles. Don't let the images on the website fool ya...
Compare that to what Eishindo is releasing...

Tucked away on the Eishindo website is this http://www.kk-eishindo.co.jp/777.html I know the main focus is the Boeing 777 with flashing lights but in the picture underneath are some airport service vehicles including what appears to be a very nice looking bus.

Hmmm, it says Airport work set which will be priced at Y2625.
Note the WILL BE. Ot could just be that the web site hasn't been updated since this was loaded, or it could be more works in the pipeline. |

My Gemini Jets airport vehicles arrived in the mail today. I know! I only ordered them Monday!
They look awesome as good as in the photo
when its sunk in I'll post some more details but they won't look out of place on a 1:450 scale layout I'm sure.

Just got mine today, too. They are real beauties, aren't they? I can't get over how slick-looking they are, especially the busses. I wish Gemini Jets made more... _________________ —David
