Your'e correct. I did look at the enlarged view, but when I saw the lines across the direction of the track, I assumed that they were ties, without looking carefully. American prejudices -- here most between track fillers tend to follow the direction of the track.

Hey, I perfectly understand. I did think exactly the same thing when I saw the drawings. having scratch-built my own crossing on a curve - with the paved sections between the rails, I thought it was a bit poor that Eishindo had not done similar - but I should've known better than to think they would do that. Then I looked closer and saw that I was wrong. 
I guess we'll know if it is a concrete or rubber crossing when we see a colour drawing or photo.
David, interestingly, I recognised the photo on the Power Ocean site as being a Taiwanese crossing before I read the text. Not sure why as they are very similar to Japanese ones. I think it was the gantry over the road which are used to prevent over-height loads and vehicles crossing the track and contacting the overhead wires. But then again, I don't know that Japan doesn't have the same or similar.
Now, who will be first to convert the crossing to working lights and gates?

Just got the latest price list from our friends at KK Eishindo.
Apart from a change in pricing policy, the following was noticed.
F-002 Animal Set (8 x cattle, 6 x horses, 6 x sheep and 6 x pigs) is now included.
S-001 Punching memo pad set (ticket punch and memo pad in ticket shape).
F-003 - 005 Figure sets B, C & D - 30 figures (no description, but photos show different figures to the set A.
R-008 Road crossing set. This shows a drawing of the railway crossing as discussed earlier. Price is the same as the figure set, tool set, boats and grass mats.
R-007 Flexible track, 1 metre - shows a photo, but no price yet. Carton size and quantity not yet finalised.
The new figure sets are the only items I didn't already know about, although I do have another list that mentions Figure Set B, but shows a photo of set A in different colours.
By the way, the same list (which I got in October) also mentions a future convenience store (7-eleven?), shops, houses, restaurants and more. I think a town hall or similar is mentioned too. Oh why don't I have a copy here at home. 
Oh well, I'll just correct this later if I got it wrong.
