Is this snail speed controller something that could be adapted to T gauge?
It would be an improvement on the standard T gauge controller if it could.

Unfortunetly it won't work. Lajos Thek brought his Z Scale module up from Long Beach and ran with us at the GTE show last weekend, and he connected one up to one of our T Gauge sets.
As it turns out, you need more than 5 volts before that controller will operate, and then it goes into bat outta hell mode.
There is one guy who is working on a controller design for T, the guy (Armand) who posted the upside down T Gauge video. He shows a prototype running in his video:
