Michael, awesome work Very Happy Looks just like the prototype. Critics be damned, that's one beautiful little loco. How did you shorten the chassis? What did you use to bond it?

Thanks Dan,

I shortened the chassis using a razor saw. I basically cut the excess from the middle as to preserve the small tapped holes for the trucks. I reconnected the base using thin styrene and CA. In the end, I needed to bond the chassis to the shell as I couldn't easily find a way to attach them together... as well, the weight took up all available space that might allow for screws.

Interesting. I've fiddled with some ideas of how to lengthen the cars as well. I assume the blue cars are your next project? Are you going to lengthen them?

I'd suggest epoxy and styrene...

Yup - blue cars are in the works. Have to do some measuring... We'll see.

How's your train coming? That diesel is awesome. Don't worry about getting it perfect; your work is what makes it yours!

I just got my T-gauge set today from Japan and I'm really pleased. Keep inspiring us.
