Interesting! tgauge.co.uk has had photos showing flex track for some time now. Japan Model Railways has had photos much longer. The samples have obviously been around a while now. I'm wondering if this is actually samples cut to shorter lengths. Did the short lengths come in Eishindo packaging?
Mr Hirai didn't mention these to me, although he did say they hadn't decided what form the flex track would take for final production. My guess is that this would be an alternative form of flex track, perhaps not aimed at the beginner. But it's only a guess. I'm sure the 106cm lengths will still be available soon. No doubt the shorter lengths are much easier to package and send safely in the mail. _________________ Darren,

I don't know what the big deal about fishplates and code 40 rail is. Code 40 is used all the time in the US for finescale N and HOn3 light rail. I know these are 'expert' scales, but folks deal with the joiners.

It's not a big deal to expert or experienced modellers. But to many beginners it would be. Eishindo want to make things easy for everyone. No point limiting your product's appeal to a minority, is there? _________________ Darren,
