Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie on the board and thought you might like to know I managed to get my hands on 12 lengths of 225mm long flex track with brown sleepers.

FROM - www.tgauge.co.uk

They had grey trackbed as well but sold out - and I might have cleared them out of brown for the moment - BUT it is real and it is out there!

Oh yes - they come with fishplates.

Very Happy Very Happy

Now just waiting for those points (turnouts)...

I know! I'd just finished a show where I'd been running two trains for most of the day - one of which is now having a motor replaced - and thought I'd better buy supplies before all of the people that I'd told about T-gauge....

If anyone ever takes any T gauge to a show they'll sell out immediately.

Anyway I was surprised to find the flexi on Tgauge.co.uk so immediate bought it. 2 days later it has landed!

I'll post pics + fishplate photos as soon as I work out how!

Aha! That makes a lot more sense than the quoted meter long track. I just couldn't imagine shipping that stuff.

Can I be rude and ask the price? I saw an estimated price of about Y 1,000 for the meter length.

I don't know what the big deal about fishplates and code 40 rail is. Code 40 is used all the time in the US for finescale N and HOn3 light rail. I know these are 'expert' scales, but folks deal with the joiners.

does this now mean we wont be able to buy flex track in meter lenghts now? Crying or Very sad i was really looking forward to that lenght. over a long layout wich i also plan to do next, surley less track joins over curves ect. would make for overall smoother track, not to mention less work joining and soldering?

Of course!

I paid £6.80 per pack of 3 lengths... which seemed very reasonable given that T gauge prices are all over the place in the UK at the moment.

Well, low and behold, just checked on the products page of the site mentioned at the start of the thread and there it is in all its glory.
Three lenght of flexi track in packaging.
Do these guys have a pre-order system, or is it just a case of get it whilst they have it?
The layout exhibited at Glasgow looks fantastic. A real show piece, and to consider it must have been built in a month or so ( the flex track couldn't have been available for longer than that )!
Makes my layout look poor in comparison. Mind you, Ian's did that, and as for the Victorian Gorge... well! I think I'll be hanging up the magnifying glass now! Wink

Well if you've got a layout you'd better post some pictures of it then... Wink
