end cars LED doesn't work anymore

Ah I see. Your modelling skills are at such a level that one can obtain such an effect. Oh man, I still have so much to learn and so little time...

I did not think you could solder an LED that small. I bought a pack of 100 of the yellow ones, and tried to solder them, but they kept sucking onto the soldering iron tip, then melted.

Evey time I tried to tin the little gold pad, the LED would just stick to the soldering iron, and disappear into the solder on the tip. Shocked

I ended up sticking to 0603 LEDs. I still have some, so I'll try again over the holidays.

The trick is to secure the LED so this can't happen. After tinning the wire, I tape it to a work surface such that the tinned end is accessible; then I hold the LED firmly with a tweezers, position it against the wire, and just touch the iron to it briefly. I also use a thermostatted needle-point iron.
